This one-day workshop will provide basic instructions and training for urban forestry clientele on how to plant trees to achieve optimal health and maximum benefits over time.
The workshop will include classroom instruction proper planting techniques and specification fundamentals, and an outdoor demonstration of selecting planting sites, nursery stock inspection, planting, and post care techniques.
Who should attend?
Community public works and parks employees, tree board members managers, and others who have responsibility for or are involved in community tree planting. Audience may also include groundskeepers, landscape contractors, tree & lawn care firms, nursery retailers, & Master Gardener Volunteers.
Cost will cover the workshop, instructional materials, and lunch. Please register by October 12th to take advantage of the Early registration rate.
