Does your organization offer agricultural programming for youth that develops leadership skills? We encourage you to apply for the Dane County UW-Extension Youth Agriculture Leadership Scholarship.
The Youth Agriculture Leadership Scholarship is a one time scholarship program for youth involvement in leadership development, agriculture, and food system summer programs. Our aim is to facilitate greater involvement of youth involved in the food and agriculture sector.
Through funding from the 2015 Dane County Farm Technology Days show, Dane County UW-Extension has initiated a scholarship fund to support youth participation in food systems and farming activities. We will prioritize programs that teach and build youth leadership skills. Youth-serving organizations should apply (not individual youth participants). The maximum award will be $300 per participant served (maximum $3,300 per organization). The scholarship money is to be used to cover program costs.
Applications are due by 4:30 pm on June 30, 2017. Interested organizations should carefully review the cover page for more information about the scholarship before applying.
