Brianna Stapleton Welch joins the Dane County UW-Extension team as 4-H Youth Development Educator.

Brianna started her new role with Dane County UW-Extension on Monday, April 17th. Since 2012, Brianna served as the 4-H Youth Development Educator in Washington County. Her work in Washington County focused on building inclusive and welcoming 4-H community club environments, as well as strengthening components of the 4-H program that help youth build workforce-relevant skills. Brianna worked with community partners in Washington County to expand access to 4-H Youth Development through a variety of program models, including afterschool programs and special interest clubs. Brianna also worked with UW-Extension in Sauk County as a 4-H Summer Assistant for two years.

Prior to working with UW-Extension, Brianna was a teaching artist working with theatre companies in Arizona. She provided professional development for classroom teachers, coaching them in applying creative drama strategies to strengthen students’ literacy and language development.

Brianna has a B.A. in Theatre from Lawrence University, and an M.F.A. in Theatre for Youth from Arizona State University.
